In 1987 a downtown redevelopment effort got underway and a group of community minded individuals saw Lyric Theater, situated in the heart of downtown Stuart, and realized there was an opportunity to save a historically significant structure.
Since that time, the Lyric Theater has hosted hundreds of events ranging from classical theater to rock and country bands, orchestra and jazz concerts, dance recitals and school programs and has presented nationally known performers.
